I think I'd try eq'ing the recordings first. The R24 captures all the frequencies, but perhaps some more than others (same might be true for the R20).

Hi, thanks for watching! I think there never was a firmware update ( www.rockjamshop.com/pages/support ) All in all, it's a pretty good controller! The keys rubbing against each other is the only thing that's annoying, but you can get used to it.

Agreed, a filter would have been nice.

They both have some pros and cons (the ARQ48 has more MIDI ports, but a lesser display and less buttons, for example)

@@mr_floydst i own the 48 and thinking ot getting the 96 is this a serious overlap ? do they share the same soundset and synth engine for example ?

Yes, it is! The "Waves" algorithm is quite nice, too, you can control the filter cutoff of the white noise it generates. It's a nice addition to synth patches, especially FM ones.

Thanks for watching - that's true, and I sometimes think people are slowly going back to their DAWs - everyone bought that thing he/she couldn't afford as a kid, loved it or hated it and then returned back to 2024 ;-)

That being said, for a pedal, this is a very nice price and you don't have to use these effects in such an exaggerated way. They're good for adding that extra space if used subtly.

@@mr_floydst Yes, for those great sounds and also stereo i think it is the best for that amazing price and even more. But still the thing with reverbs in this category is they are either general types and ok sound or very specific and good sound. That way I ended up with five pedals and three hardware racks and at the end of the day plugins still sound better. For live use this one pedal could be great, for studio I still prefer the plugins.

Try using a DAW live in concert 😅

I wasn't aware of that, but I think it's worth the money anyway. Sounds good, the wave algorithm is nice, and that "motion recording" feature definitely has some real world applications.

It has a stick, though. I agree on the mod wheel, that would have been nice.

Hi again . Im in school right now. Lol . Trying to program sequencer for another one bites the dust, on rec mode, but it takes steps on the grid without correct nudge, do you know if i can nudge the steps as the ableton push?

I'm afraid it doesn't, but (like the M8), you can install the software on a Teensy and then use an external screen on your computer to try it. In that case, all you need is the Teensy SBC.

Download the app, store it on your SD card, and it should show up in the launcher. I don't have the PLUS, but that's how it should work...

I think the MOD pedals are build around PI3 / PI4 SBCs, or am I mistaken? I didn't measure Zynthians actual latency yet. I'll do in my next Zynthian video.

Incredible how a different control interface inspires you to control sound in other ways than you are used to

Only issue I had is, although the editor recognizes my input midi keyboard, which is hooked up with my computer, I still had to open the app MidiOX to play the notes from it. Maybe I'm missing something here, I don't know...
